We ask for, store & process the following data relating to you:

The purpose of Energy Link is to enable our members to communicate with each other and share information relating to saving energy & resources. In order to do this, we need to know peoples' identities in order to enable them to post messages on a restricted network. We use your email address to send you comments from other members that we hope may be useful to you. It is useful for other members to know who is making comments; so your name, job title & organisation are quoted at the top of any comments that you make on the system.
Events are also organised on Energy Link and event organisers need to know the names of attendees in order to organise events, your job title & organisation to ensure that events are as useful to you as possible, together with your contact details (email address & telephone number) to inform you of any change of schedule. Each time that you sign up for an event, you will be asked to confirm that you are happy for this information to be shared with the event organiser - solely for the purposes of the event.
Your personal data is hosted & stored in BT Citywest Datacentre in Dublin, Ireland. The Security of your data is important to us and we take appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect it.
Your data is processed for the following purposes:
Your personal data will not be transferred to any third-party not directly involved in managing the website unless this is required as a result of an Irish law enforcement request, Court order or statutory requirement. We do not and never shall sell your personal data to third parties for marketing or advertising purposes.
Under GDPR regulations you have the ability to make reasonable requests to see the personal information we hold related to you, rectify it or have it deleted. Please contact us if you wish to make a Subject Access Request, or to have your personal account & information permanently deleted from the system. Your personal information, and privacy settings, can be edited by yourself once logged into the site, by clicking on your name in the top right hand corner of any page.
In the event that you wish to complain about how we have handled your personal data, please contact us and both Thomas Pinder our Data Protection Officer, and Consulteco Ltd our Data Controller will then look into your complaint and work with you to resolve the matter. If you still feel that your personal data has not been handled appropriately according to the law, you can contact the Data Protection Commissioner www.dataprotection.ie and file a complaint with them.
